Hey, I have a copper dome to make from standing seam its a big one. I have made one before but I devised my own method of measuring to get even sheets all the way around, whats your method? Can you help ?

Bardeli: A way of finishing a hip (or a slanted verge) when roofing with small elements, usually using slates, wood shakes, shingles, or stone flags...

In my case and for esthetical reason, I like to cut out the bottom edge of the slate at about 45 degrees...
