Apron Flashing:
Flashing located at the juncture of the top of a sloped roof at the abutment with a vertical cladding, wall or steeper-sloped roof, or any other horizontal penetration with an upstand, base of a dormer, roof window, a chimney, etc.
Unless there is a specific requirement, this flashing will usually have a girth of anything between 200 and 400mm.

Bardeli: A way of finishing a hip (or a slanted verge) when roofing with small elements, usually using slates, wood shakes, shingles, or stone flags...
In my case and for esthetical reason, I like to cut out the bottom edge of the slate at about 45 degrees...

A dense fine-grained metamorphic rock produced by the compression of various sediments (as clay or shale) prepared as a shingle for roofing and siding usually of a dark purplish, blue, gray in colour depending on its composition.
